CHEDDAR AND BLACK SESAME PUFF PASTRY SNACK




A real quick and tasty snack.
You can make this recipe with any store bought puff pastry.
INGREDIENTS:
2 sheets of puff pastry (about 12x16),
1 egg, beaten,
1/2 cup Cheddar cheese, grated,
2 tablespoons black sesame seeds;
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 450 F.
Roll out sheets of pastry to about 1/4 in thick. Brush with beaten egg. Sprinkle 1/4 cup cheese all over each pastry; sprinkle sesame seeds one tablespoon on each pastry sheet.
Cut into thin strips; transfer strips to ungreased baking sheets.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.

BANANA CREAM PUFFS

INGREDIENTS FOR PASTRY:
(makes about 12 puffs)

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter,
1 cup water,
1 cup flour,
3 large eggs,
dash of salt;

DIRECTIONS:

In a saucepan heat butter, water and salt over medium heat until mixture boils and butter melts. Reduce heat to low; vigorously stir in flour all at once until mixture forms a ball. Transfer pastry to a bowl and cool for few minutes. Stir in eggs 1 at the time, beating well after each addition. Preheat oven to 400 F. Grease a baking sheet; form 2 inches balls and place them on prepared baking sheet few inches apart. Bake until light golden brown , for about 35 to 45 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool.
Gently slice the top of each puff and spoon filling (or use the cake decorator for more attractive look). Replace the top of each puff and dust with powder sugar.

INGREDIENTS FOR BANANA CREAM:

1 pk. (3.1/2 oz.) instant banana pudding
2 cups milk
1.1/2 cup whipped topping (optional)
Mix banana pudding and milk until smooth. Chill for 1 hour.

SESAME PUFF PASTRY STICKS




All you need is:
1 pk. square puff pastry,
1 egg,
1/2 cup black sesame seeds;
Preheat oven at 400 F; in a small bowl beat egg with 1 tablespoon water; brush each square with egg mixture; cut each square in 8 pieces (strips); bake for 10-12 minutes or until nice and golden, on ungreased baking sheet.
What a magnificent quick snack!!!

PUFF PASTRY CHEESE STICKS

This is all you need:
1 pk.puff pastry,
2 cups shredded mixed cheddar and mozzarella cheese,
1 egg;

Directions:
Preheat oven at 400 F; in a small bowl beat egg with one tablespoon water; brush each square with egg mixture and sprinkle with cheese.
Cut each square in 4 pieces; place them in a ungreased baking sheet 1 inch apart. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until nice and golden...

Serve warm or cold. What a delicious movie snack next to a cold refreshing Bud!
