GRAPE LEAVES ROLLS (sarmalute in foi de vita)
We love cabbage rolls a lot, but grape leaves rolls are our favorites. Served with sour cream...yummmm....
It's not hard to make, but takes time to roll them up. My MOM was here and she jumped right into the action. We had fun!!!

All you need is ground pork, ground beef, rice, onion, tomato paste, salt, pepper, spices and marinated grape leaves. First, saute the onion and rice, spices and tomato paste; let cool for 10 minutes; add the meat; mix well until well combined. Stuff each leaf starting from from the bottom up. Make sure the sides are well tacked in. Arrange rolls in a cooking pan, cover with broth (water is fine) add some more tomato paste or sauce, a dash of salt, cover and let cook at medium heat until starts to boil. Reduce heat to very low,(or bake in the oven) and simmer for 30, 40 minutes, or until cooked. Serve with sour cream!
Enjoy!

MOTHER AND DAUGHTER TEA TIME
My MOM is coming to visit. Yay!!! Actually I'm going to pick her up, she is not driving. I've made these lovely " finger bite" sandwiches and lemon orange tea, her favorite.
SALMON AND CAPERS (*)with cucumber, GOAT CHEESE AND TOMATOES with onion and GARLIC SAUSAGE with mustard and olives. All on my freshly made GARLIC BREAD.
Me and my MOM are having a great time together this afternoon. I wish my daughter was here to. The three generations ...
