ASIAN STYLE BEEF STEW

INGREDIENTS:

3 lb. Beef Rough Flank,
1o cloves of garlic, minced,
2 carrots, sliced,
2 dried Star Aniseed,
2 teaspoons sweet Paprika,
2 teaspoons Oriental Beef Spices,
2 teaspoons Instant Beef Stew,
3 tablespoons Corn Starch,
2 tablespoons cooking oil,
8 cups of water,
1 teaspoon salt;

DIRECTIONS:

Place meat, 1 teaspoon minced garlic, salt, 2 Star Aniseed and 8 cups of water, in a"Pressure Cooker" pot (for faster cooking process) for 1 hour. In a large sauce pan, saute carrots and garlic for few minutes; add 1 cup of beef broth; stir in all the spices; add all the remaining beef broth and bring it to a boil; mix 3 tablespoons of corn starch with 1 cup water and stir in to the boiling sauce; cut cooked beef in 3 inches pieces and add to the sauce; let simmer for 2 minutes.
Turn of heat. Taste for salt. Serve with rice, noddles, or just with bread.
(Note: this is my own recipe and I never made it before; I'm very pleased with the result, specially my husband... :))
