"BERRY" SWEET HEARTS - VALENTINE'S DAY

INGREDIENTS:
1 pack (3 oz.) cream cheese, softened,
1/3 cup sugar,
1 small box strawberry flavored gelatin,
1/2 cup boiling water,
1/2 teaspoon white vanilla extract,
1 cup fresh blackberries,
1 cup cool whip,
silver sugar candies(optional)
heart shaped molds; (or any molds...)

DIRECTIONS:
In a mixing bowl, dissolve strawberry gelatin in 1/2 cup boiling water; stir in sugar and mix until sugar is completely melted; stir in vanilla and cream cheese. Mix well until smooth and creamy. Lightly butter the molds before pour cream mixture. Fill to the top. Refrigerate for couple of hours or until set. Remove sweet cheese-gelatin hearts from molds and place them on a serving platter. Garnish with cool whip and berries.
Enjoy!

  9. How appealing! You are a woman after my own heart (no pun intended)! For some reason I find food that is visually appealing more tasty. I cannot wait to try the Bread Heart and the Berry Sweet Hearts. I bet that you can make them Easter egg shaped as well. I am constantly surfing the web for new and beautiful dessert recipes. Since Spring is right around the corner I want to create recipes that use fruits of the season. On Gourmandia.com I found a Puff Pastry with fresh Raspberries recipe that is wonderful. There is a video that gives step-by-step instructions (with a chef!). But it was really very simple to make and very exquisite to look at. My friends almost didn’t want to eat it because it was so nice to look at. It takes a couple of hours to prepare and serves six. I used this recipe for girl’s night in when all we ate were desserts! Find it at: Lukewarm puff pastry with raspberries : Chef Vicomte et Vicomtesse de la Panouse.
