MY MELTING MOMENTS COOKIES FOR MY 400TH POST

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup unsalted butter, room temp.,
3/4 cup sugar,
1 teaspoon orange zest,
1 teaspoon vanilla extract,
2 egg yolks,
2 1/3 cups flour,
powder sugar for dusting;
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350 F. Using an electric mixer, cream the butter, sugar, vanilla and orange zest.Add the egg yolks and mix thoroughly. Add the flour and mix until the mixture comes together to make a smooth soft paste. Spoon into a pastry bag with a 1/3 - inch star tip.
Pipe enough rosettes to fill ungreased baking sheets, spacing well apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden. Cool on a wire rack. Dust with powder sugar and serve.

BASIC FOCACCIA

INGREDIENTS FOR BASIC FOCACCIA:
5 teaspoons active dry yeast,
1 3/4 cups warm water,
1 teaspoon sugar,
3/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil,
5 cups all-purpose flour plus extra for kneading,
2 teaspoons salt (sea salt);
