HOLIDAY COOKIES - CHRISTMAS 2009 -

BASIC COOKIE DOUGH:
1 1/2 cup powder sugar;
1 cup butter, room temp.;
1 egg,
1/2 teaspoon almond extract,
2 1/2 cups flour,
1 teaspoon cream of tartar,
1 teaspoon baking soda;
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 375 F.
In a large mixing bowl beat sugar and butter until creamy. Add egg and almond extract. Continue beating until well mixed, 1 to 2 minutes. Add flour, cream of tartar and baking soda. Continue beating until well mixed 1 to 2 minutes. Shape dough the way you like it; bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Cookies do not brown.
