CALIFORNIA SUN SHINE CUPCAKES and NEW AWARDS

Hi, I'm back. First of all, I want to thank all of you who left a comment on "CALIFORNIA SUN SHINE CAKE"...and the winner is............BARBARA !!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! You were right. LEMON AND ORANGE POPPY SEED!

Here is the recipe for both, cake and cupcakes!

INGREDIENTS:
1 box Super Moist Lemon cake mix,
3 eggs,
1.1/4 cup water,
1/3 cup vegetable oil,
1 pk. 6 oz. Orange Gelatin Dessert (Jell-o)
1/3 cup poppy seeds

DIRECTIONS for cake:
Preheat oven to 350 F; grease pan (bundt)
Beat cake mix, water, oil and eggs in large bowl on low speed for 30 seconds, then on medium speed for 2 minutes. Scoop out 1.1/2 cup lemon batter and set aside for cupcakes. Pour 3 cups of lemon batter into the greased pan. Sprinkle poppy seeds on top and set aside. To the remaining lemon batter add the Orange Gelatin and beat for 2 minutes on medium speed. Scoop out 1 cup and set aside for cupcakes. Spoon remaining Orange batter over the poppy seeds. Do NOT mix. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes. Let cool completely before removing from pan.

DIRECTIONS for cupcakes:
Arrange paper baking cups; we have 1.1/2 cups lemon batter an 1 cup orange batter saved.
I manage to make 8 medium cupcakes, so you need like 2 tablespoons lemon and one tablespoon orange on top. Again, do not mix. Sprinkle poppy seeds and bake for 35 to 40 minutes...and there you have it from just one box of cake mix and one pk. gelatin.

CALIFORNIA SUN SHINE CAKE

Hello everybody! What a beautiful day we are having today!
That's way I came up with this name for my cake that I've baked last night. I've never made this before, so yes , it's another experiment of mine and I'm very excited with the result. I will be back with the recipe because I really want you to try it and see for your self. It's so easy to make and the ingredients I'm sure all of you have it already. We were so in love with this cake that right now as I'm posting this, I'm baking some cupcakes too.
